Deman combines strong characters and compositions with a bright, atmospheric colour palette. Throughout the years Flore developed an own style of illustration with contrasting shapes and textures. She makes a poetical and conceptual interpretation of the world surrounding us.
As a kid she loved storytelling and making her own comics and books. Growing up she started drawing and never stopped.
In 2019 her illustration 'It's ok not to be ok' made for Mental Health Day got selected in the Illustration West 58 competition from the Society of Illustration Los Angeles (USA)
In april 2020 her illustration 'The Narcissist' got shortlisted in the World Illustration Awards, category Editorial. There were 4300 entrees and de shortlist of Editorial contained only 29 entrees. Read more
